Our Story
Just a Simple Couple. Living the Simple Life.
Farm To Fork.
Hidden Hawk Homestead is a husband & wife team (Megan & Sam Toth), along with our dog, Chief Surveillance Officer, Winnie, and her best friend and mouser Dexter Eugene (cat)
My name is Megan and I am the crazy plant lady, I’m obsessed with with anything and everything ducks, and I love to bake! I grew up gardening and learned it all from my Mother. My Mom’s side are generational farmers from North Dakota. They came to the states from Canada long ago, to create a homestead of their own. Back when “homesteading” was just a way of life. I also have a culinary arts background & I am constantly creating! My brain is always swirling!
My husband Sam is the builder & “brains” of this homestead. I don’t know how he does it! He is a true “outdoorsman.”
Sam grew up in Colorado and learned many “mountain men” skills. He knows all things hunting, survival, carpentry and anything animal & firearm related. Everything you see on this homestead was thought up from him and built from him (of course I helped ) He has a true farm engineering brain. Nothing would be possible around here and the stand wouldn’t even be a thing without him!
It’s just us! That’s it!
We have worked well together with our “hunter-gatherer” relationship for 18 amazing years. We have always shared the love of being self sufficient and being diversified in living a more simple life
Even when we lived in town, we were still gardening, canning, creating & hunting!
Homesteading is a mindset, not where you live. Do what you can!
We decided to leave the town life behind in 2021 & Hidden Hawk Homestead was born.
We have been selling and trading items off of our land since 2021, but in the Spring of 2024 we decided to share with the public!
The FarmStand was a true labor of love. Every item we sell is grown, cultivated & produced right here on the homestead.
We pride in a true “farm to fork” business.
Our products are OUR products.
Some have called us a “Micro FARMer’s Market” Everything is from RIGHT here.
All natural. Homegrown. Homemade.
Truly #farmtofork or you may not even need a fork at all.
We sell chicken and duck eggs, seasonal vegetables & fruits, herb, flower & vegetable starts, fresh herbs, dried herbs, tea blends, flower bouquets and baked goods. We also sell hatching eggs, chicks, ducklings and pedigreed Rex rabbits, as well as manure fertilizer off of the stand by appointment. We also added tallow products, homemade candles and dip mixes to the line up for this year!
Variety is the spice of life.
We created the #WCFarmStandTrail in 2025 and it was a HUGE success! We can’t wait until next year!
Farm to Fork is not just a phrase or a hashtag… it’s our way of life! And we are here to share the love.
The FarmStand is open every Friday & Saturday 8am - 8pm, and Sundays 8am- 6pm (April until October)

Chicken Eggs
$3/dozen
Our chickens are pasture raised and fed a mostly organic diet. Each dozen will contain a wide variety of colored eggs.
*Hatching eggs and chicks are also available throughout the year. Check our Facebook for more info.
Duck Eggs
$5/dozen
All of our ducks are pasture raised and fed a mostly organic diet.
Duck eggs have a higher nutritional content than chicken eggs. Due to their much larger yolk + fat content, duck eggs are richer + creamier and taste less ‘watery’ than chicken eggs. Duck eggs have 30% more protein + higher in Omega- 3’s, Vitamins A, D and Iron than chicken eggs.
Allergic to chicken eggs?
Ducks produce a different protein in their bodies, therefore if you are allergic to chicken eggs… you will be able to eat duck eggs!
Love to bake?
Using duck eggs produces fluffier cakes, lighter breads and cookies!
*all of our baked goods are made from our duck eggs
**hatching & ducklings available throughout the year. Please see our Facebook page for more info.
